- Manage activities of assigned team members to achieve the P&L goals for the business unit.
- Lead the development of annual plans for account services to support the go-to-market strategy that leverages the Agency Channel to drive Revenue and Margin.
- Develop Revenue and Margin (expense) budgets for account services to achieve assigned Revenue and Margin goals.
- Assist with leading the team by delegating authority to team members to conduct daily operations while providing oversight to ensure that the unit operates according to the Cooperative Purchasing Program Document and other Solution Program Documents and complies with all compliance and regulatory requirements.
- Manage the activities of assigned account services. This includes:
- Adheres to account structure, validation, and conversion process.
- Assists the director with the processes of managing electronic chat communications, marketing communications, and interactions on the web in coordination with other teams.
- Ensuring that we deliver high-touch support and meet service quality and timing goals for all inquiries.
- Assists in the development of call and response cards to assist in the effectiveness of staff delivery.
- Develop and implement strategies to maintain data and account integrity within Sourcewell systems.
- Developing Account Plans and conducting regular meetings with accounts to drive revenue.
- Actively participate in client experience mapping and related improvement projects.
- Manages reports and insights that analyze CRM data.
- Recommend and implement changes to processes and procedures.
- Lead processes to ensure that the team works collaboratively with other teams.
- Lead training programs to ensure that the team follows best practices for engaging, developing, and growing accounts.
- Supervise, develop, train, and mentor assigned staff.
- Provide direction and actionable goals to ensure that the team understands how their performance impacts department, division, and organizational strategies and goals.
- Work with the Director of Account Services to identify staffing needs and ensure that the business unit has an appropriate headcount to support growth plans.
- Manage hiring, training, and onboarding processes and ensure that these are consistent with those followed by the Government Accounts team.
- Manage efforts to support and advance Sourcewell’s culture and values.
- Pattern our values of Seek, Empower, and Impact to your direct reports and the entire Cooperative purchasing team.
- Develop and lead your team to become open, transparent, innovative, and collaborative with the Sourcewell team and external partners.
- Represent Cooperative Purchasing at internal events, board meetings, and retreats.
- Attend and present at conferences, trade shows, supplier meetings, client meetings, and other public events.
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field of study AND five (5) years of experience in sales management, P&L management, business development, account management, client relations/development, or other directly related experience, OR
- A combination of related post-secondary and/or professional education/training and demonstrated relevant work experience equivalent to a total of nine (9) years.
- Five (5) years of public speaking and/or sales presentation experience
- Business process and operational knowledge in sales, customer service, supply chain, and/or procurement
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills
- Five (5) years of customer relationship management experience
- Masters Degree in a related field of study
- Seven (7) years of experience in sales management, P&L management, business development, account management, client relations/development, or other directly related experience
- Six (6) years of public speaking or sales presentation experience
- Six (6) or more years of business process and operational knowledge in sales, customer service, supply chain, and/or procurement
- Six (6) years of account management experience
- Grade 14, $96,744.88 - $135,4442.83 per fiscal year, commensurate with experience. PERA position.
- Applicants should be located within the state of Minnesota and be able to commute to the office for meetings and support, as this position is somewhat hybrid.
