Are you ready to take on a diverse position in the Diabetes Clinical Research & Medical Affairs Team? Your primary mission will be to generate and disseminate clinical evidence on the safety, efficacy and value of Medtronic Diabetes medical devices.
The Principal Medical Affairs Specialist facilitates customized training and education programs for Medical and Academic Professionals on diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, to increase procedural, technology and product adoption to improve patient outcomes. Participates in conventions, forums, symposia educational content and scientific education programming meetings for promoting product and procedural awareness. Conducts/ Facilitates physician led education and consulting, supports establishment and maintenance of customer relations with clinicians and organizations.

• Strongly influences the design of new products, processes, standards, or operational plans based on business strategy with a significant impact on functional results .
• manages large, moderately complex initiatives of strategic importance to the organization, involving large cross-functional teams
• Creates, reviews and approves education and promotional materials per standard operating procedures
• Provides medical / scientific input for marketing support, including assisting with the development of clinical sales materials & videos, and ensuring such documents are strongly evidence based
• Packages and disseminates medical and scientific information for both internal and external clients

• Requires a Baccalaureate degree and minimum of 10 years of relevant experience, or advanced degree with a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience.
• manages large, moderately complex initiatives of strategic importance to the organization, involving large cross-functional teams
• Experience in working in global cross-functional (matrix) and multicultural teams
• Determine the level of clinical evidence required based on the outputs needed by the business
• Ability to represent Medical Affairs in high level Clinical meetings
• Advanced computer skills (e.g., Microsoft Office, Word, Excel and Power Point)

• Strong project management expertise.
• Leadership skills, including ability to motivate and influence teams from different regions and cultures.
• Think globally without losing focus on detail, provide clear directions and instructions
