To achieve this, we are looking for a Trade Compliance Consultant to join our Global Trade Compliance organisation at Smith & Nephew. You will support the EMEA region prevent and resolve issues related to Trade Compliance. You will collaborate closely with internal and external business partners to help enable S+N to fully align with all relevant laws and regulations. What will you be doing?
  • Ensure EMEA import/export compliance with global trade laws, customs, and S+N requirements
  • Implement GTC standards to ensure compliance with regulations
  • Collaborate with Supply Chain, Quality, Regulatory Affairs, and others for compliance
  • Lead projects for import/export efficiency and cost savings
  • Handle HS code classifications and Country of Origin determinations
  • Supervise trade data accuracy and review international documentation
  • Conduct Customs audits and develop corrective plans
  • Coordinate import/export brokerage services and report issues to Director when required
What will you need to be successful? Our successful candidate will be educated to degree in a relevant subject area such as Supply Chain, Logistics or international trade with a background in Trade Compliance in a large, multi-national organisation. They will have a solid understanding of the regulations relating to Trade, as well as having effective verbal and written communication skills, with fluency in English. What can we offer?
