Background Information

Software Infrastructure & Computer Systems department aims to provide high quality software (SW) solutions that enable our internal clients to create products in an effective and efficient way and to meet our external customer needs by setting direction and in time execution of SW Product and Technology roadmaps within a challenging work environment.

Your Assignment

The main aim of the assignment is to automate the tests whenever a pull request is opened. The tests that are going be automated consist of mainly unit testing and Robot Framework tests. These tests should be run before and after merging the pull request. Quality of code is going to be demonstrated by common key performance indicator (KPI) such as code coverage, KIM (ASML internal test environment). As the current codebase is already in GitHub environment, the automation should be carried out using GitHub Workflow and GitHub Actions. The assignment can be extended further such as testing using Squish.

Your Profile

To be a fit for this role, you need to meet the following requirements:

  • MBO/HBO/Bachelor/Master in computer science/engineering or relevant

  • Basic knowledge of Python is required,

  • GitHub, GitHub Workflow/Actions and Robot Framework or interest to learn,

  • Basic knowledge of protocols in Communication and Networking,

  • Squish knowledge is a plus

  • Good English communication skills,

  • A team-player with proactive attitude, learning agility and culture awareness.

This is an apprentice internship with duration 6 months (possibility to extend to a maximum 12 months if needed), 4-5 working days per week.

Please note that we can only consider students who are enrolled at a school for the entire duration of the internship.

This position requires access to controlled technology, as defined in the Export Administration Regulations (15 C.F.R. § 730, et seq.). Qualified candidates must be legally authorized to access such controlled technology prior to beginning work. Business demands may require ASML to proceed with candidates who are immediately eligible to access controlled technology.
